It is rumoured that Ecclesfield Red Rose FC, which currently plays its football in the County Senior League is one of the oldest clubs in football history.

Ecclesfield Red Rose JFC hails from its older relation and currently play in the Sheffield and District Sunday League.

The club has teams at all ages from Under 7's through to Under 16's. We also operate a soccer school, to give children their first steps into football (age group 6 and under).

All coaches have a minimum FA Class 1 coaching badge and the club is pursuing FA Charter Status. The club hopes to introduce a girls team in the near future.

Football is played in the village of Ecclesfield, near Sheffield on the Shardlows Sports Ground (see location).
